There are over 8,000
phone numbers in 4 networks to choose from. Please note that when
you sign up for service you must consider:
1. Which NETWORK
you want to subscribe to
This is typically the network listing the most phone numbers available
in your area and is listed in the table when you pick the State to
view. Once you choose a network you may not change networks until
the next month of service, and must contact us prior to the end of
the current month to change networks.
2. Whether you
want ANALOG, ISDN-single or ISDN-dual service
ANALOG service requires a standard modem which generally is already
installed in most computers. ISDN has other requirements listed below.
Here are the differences
in speed:
ANALOG: 56k/second (standard dialup)
ISDN-single: 64K/second (faster dialup)
ISDN-dual: 128k/second (fastest dialup)
Note that not all networks offer ISDN-DUAL. For
ISDN service you must have your local phone company install an ISDN
line at your location and you must purchase and install an ISDN modem
for your computer. If you sign up for an ISDN account you may also
use any of the ANALOG phone numbers on that network when you travel
at no additional charge.
3. Number of
connection hours per month
Each network has different, maximum hours per month and all are suitable
for the average Internet user. If you are a "heavy" user
and need more hours please choose the network most suitable for your
needs. Please note that "unlimited" (although advertised
by many) doesn't exist. We do not offer dedicated connections (24
hours / 7 days). Connection time over 16 hours per day considered
to be in violation of our TOS (Terms and Conditions) and subject to
suspension. If you need a dedicated (24x7) ISDN. T-1 or other connection
please contact us (for St. Louis area) or an ISP in your local area.
4. Please Check
the Phone Number
We encourage all customers to dial any listed phone number from the
location they will be accessing the Internet from to ensure it is
a local call. You are responsible for any long-distance charges so
please ensure the network you choose is right for you.
